Itinerary plan

Day 1: Arrival Muscat

Start your Muscat Short Break. Your tour manager will meet you at Muscat International airport and escort you to your hotel in an air-conditioned vehicle. Check into your room and enjoy the evening relaxing around the hotel.

Day 2: Muscat City Tour

On this day of your Muscat Tour Package. After breakfast After breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked up to proceed to see the Sultan’s Palace, built by the Portuguese in the 16th century during their rule of the coastal cities of Oman. The next stop is the Bait Al Zubair Museum. Opened in 1998, It is located in the old city of Muscat. The museum is a small townhouse that has been converted to display the old archaeological findings and Omani traditions such as Omani artifacts and collectables, including a group of conventional weapons, jewelers, clothing, household items and some old models representing Omani rural. From here you will drive to the Corniche. The Corniche is near the main Mina Al Sultan Qaboos port of Oman and the Muttrah souk. A short halt will allow you to visit the souq and stock up on all the typical Oman souvenirs that are sold in almost every shop!.The souk offers a wide range of goods, the Omani Dagger or Khanjar and beautiful silver handicrafts and Pashmina shawls.You will drive to the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque for a photo stop. The Mosque is beautiful by night, as it is illuminated from all sides with floor spotlights and the grandeur of its architectural genius truly comes alive. Drive back to the hotel. Check and overnight.

Day 3: Dolphin Watching Trip in Muscat

Enjoy a boat ride with a unique opportunity to watch dolphins in Oman waters. Oman coast is a year-round home to 21 different species of whales and dolphins (Family- Delphinidae) and a dolphin watching tour is very natural splendor. One of the most memorable activities you will take part in while visiting Oman with us. Share the thrill of meeting dolphins in the wild and experience the unique bond and kinship they inspire in humankind. Regular visitors are Bottlenose dolphins, common dolphins, spinner dolphins and Rissos dolphins. Spend the time touring the waters off Sidab in search of dolphins. Seen all around the year, dolphins make for exciting watching as they swim around and under fishing craft in search of tuna, mackerel and sardines. A dolphin in flight is a wonderful sight that thrills onlookers. Back to your hotel.

Day 4: Departure

After breakfast, transfer to Muscat International Airport for final departure.

Itinerary plan 

Day 1

Muscat – Nakhal – Wadi Bani Auf Enjoy our Oman Private Tour Packages. Your tour Manager will pick up you from Muscat at 08:00. Drive to Barka to visit fish market and witness local people how they barter fresh catch fish. The next stop is Nakhl which also has the highest fort in Oman, standing proudly on top of a hilltop. The fort is 350 years old and is set in a gorge, surrounded by a mountain enclave. Between Nakhl and Rustaq a hidden road leads up a 2000 mtr part of the Hajar Mountain range. Stop at Wadi Bani Auf where the main attraction is the old houses nestled on the slopes of the mountain and this Wadi is also well known as the snake gorge because of the wide variety of desert snakes that live here. Proceed to Bilad Sayt a village that is famous for its clay houses and the Oasis in which the village population lives. Picnic lunch box / lunch at local restaurant. After lunch we proceed to the villages of Al Hamra and Misfah also known as Misfat Al Abreen. Misfah has a falaj system and green terraces which provides the population of Oasis dwellers abundant bounty in terms of fruits (mango, papaya, banana and dates) and vegetables in spite of the dry vegetation elsewhere. Go back to Nizwa and check in to your hotel. Overnight at Golden Tulip Nizwa hotel.

Day 2: Nizwa Fort – Wahiba Sands

Enjoy Oman Nature Tours. Breakfast at the hotel and check out. 08:00 AM – pick up from the hotel Visit the Nizwa fort which has been strategically built atop a hill overlooking the ancient city with its colorful domes and bustling market below. Nizwa Fort, built by Imam Sultan bin Saif al Ya’arubi in 1668, is the biggest fort in the Arabian Peninsula with an exterior diameter of its circular structure of 150 feet, and over 115 feet high. From there you continue Birkat al Mauz. There is a full settlement of clay ruins (ancient houses) that are still partially inhabited and was once very famous for the banana plantations. A picnic lunch box / lunch at local restauran. Drive to Wahiba Sand via Sinaw and Mudaybi where you will see old mud houses with a deserted souq in the center. Continue to Sinaw, passing numerous small enclosures made of palm fronds that nowadays house goats and sheep. Move to Wahiba Sands is a vast mass of undulating red and white sand dunes rising up to 200 meters and stretching as far as the eye can see. The sands are the traditional homes of the nomads and the Bedouins, so it is common to see them moving through the desert with their camels (Camel ride optional). Sleep sheltered by Bedouin style accommodation under a roof of starry skies! Enjoy a traditional Arabic meal, Omani coffee and dates. Overnight at Arabian Oryx Camp, Desert Camp.

Day 3: Wahiba – Wahiba Sands – Sur

After Breakfast 08:00 AM pick up from In sharp contrast with desert is Wadi Bani Khalid, a beautiful Wadi indeed. The wadi has clear deep blue waters, where the shades of the palm trees are inviting for a relaxing siesta! Catch a glimpse of the pretty villages scattered all over Wadi Bani Khalid as they cling precariously to the slopes of the rugged mountain-side (Please bring along your swimwear, the clear waters of the Wadi are very inviting! Also please note that light clothing and walking shoes may be more suitable on this trip). A picnic lunch box / lunch at local restaurant In Sur visit the fishermen’s harbor and witness the fishermen in action. Proceed on to the Dhow building yard. Dhows are traditional Omani wooden fisher boats that are even today, built by hand. Check-in to hotel. After a refreshing shower and dinner assemble in the main lobby of the Carapace research Centre around 21:00 hrs where the rangers will divide you into groups of 10-15 people. Proceed on a 15 min walk to the place where the green turtles nest on the calm beaches of Ras Al Jinz. The turtles can be seen late at night (21hrs to 23hrs) OR early in the morning. Enjoy this natural phenomenon an experience that is guaranteed to stay in your memory for a long time. Overnight at Carapace research Centre, Camp.

Day 4: Ras Al Jinz – Muscat

After Breakfast pick up to Start your journey back to Muscat. Continue via Qalhat where Bibi Miriam’s tomb (photo stop) is located. Proceed to Wadi Shab where beautiful clear pools of the wadi oasis are a serene and rewarding sight in the otherwise barren environment. After visiting the Wadi – proceed to the white beaches of Finns where a picnic lunch box will be served. Also see the Bimah Sinkhole, a natural hole in the round created by a collapsing mountain. The hole is filled with blue-green sea water. Finally we pass through the village of Quriyat, guarded by its 18th century fort and return to Muscat.
